Spiritual Formation

Through interactions with Christian mentors, campus pastors, chaplains, biblical teaching, and meaningful service opportunities, VCHS students can explore their faith journey on campus and in the community. Alongside a student's academic aspirations, we seek to foster the values of wisdom, honor, courage, and sacrifice, which we call "The Way of the Warrior." For our students, the Way of the Warrior is about personal formation on their journey toward graduation. We desire every Valley Christian student to be formed into the likeness of Jesus, allowing us to reflect His love and good news to others as we lead, serve, and impact our world. As a Christian school with a clear missional focus to reach the world with the good news of Jesus, we will encourage our students to grow in their relationship with God and be willing to give Jesus a fair hearing.

At VCS, we seek to help students experience holistic Christian faith through weekly worship experiences, theological education, biblical unity, leadership development, character formation, wellness, and service learning. Spiritual Formation at VCHS weaves faith with a student's social and emotional well-being in partnership with K-12 Biblical Unity and K-12 Wellness, preparing them for life beyond graduation.

We believe Jesus taught and modeled servant leadership (John 13:12-17), so we offer students the opportunity to put their faith into practice in their relationships, communities, and worldwide. Students can also cultivate their relationship with God through optional Discipleship Tracks, Spiritual Retreats, Bible Studies, clubs, and service trips (IMPACT).
